Will Eisner Week made it to New York City on Saturday, March 7th.
A panel of Eisner experts discussed Eisner's life and career, examining just what made (and still makes) him so significant to the comics medium. Featuring DANNY FINGEROTH (Disguised as Clark Kent: Jews, Comics, and the Creation of the Superhero), DENNIS O'NEIL (longtime Batman writer and editor), N.C. CHRISTOPHER COUCH (The Will Eisner Companion), and KENNETH GINIGER (legendary publisher and lifelong friend of Will Eisner). Many thanks to Jim Hanley's Universe for hosting the event at their Manhattan Comic Book store.
Many thanks to the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, the Savannah College of Art & Design, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund for their hard work this year. Next year's celebration will be even better and hopefully international in scope (hint, hint).
