The Spirit Magazine
Kitchen Sink Press took over the publishing of The Spirit Magazine with issue 17 in 1979. The KSP editions continued featuring reprints of classic Spirit stories, but this time packaged between new wraparound painted covers by Eisner. With issue 30, the magazine started to feature new work by Eisner as well as Shoptalk interviews with leading cartoonists like Milton Caniff, Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Kirby, moving the content towards what would become The Will Eisner Quarterly.
