The Will Eisner Graphic Novel Grants for Libraries have found a permanent home with the American Library Association. The 2014 grants will be presented in June at the ALA Annual Conference.

Winners Announced
Two librarians and a library services student left Anaheim with graphic novel collections featuring Eisner Award-nominated titles and funds valued at over $5,000 for each of their libraries.

The three lucky winners were drawn from 100 finalists in a ceremony held on the Graphic Novel Stage during the June 24th programming at the American Library Association's Annual Conference at the Anaheim Convention Center.  The Will Eisner Graphic Novel Prize for Libraries consists of three collections of titles nominated for the 2012 Eisner Awards and the entire Will Eisner Library Catalog (totaling over 100 books), plus a $2,000 voucher for the purchase of more graphic novels through Brodart Company, and an additional $1,000 for a graphic novel author/creator visit or graphic novel/comics themed event at the library.

The winners of the prize were library services student, Dylan Flesch from Seattle Washington, retired librarian Viola Dyas, from Oakland California, and Jack Baur from the Berkeley California Public Library.

Eisner Prize for Libraries

Will Eisner Graphic Novel Prize for Libraries 
The Will & Ann Eisner Family Foundation announced today the launch of the Will Eisner Graphic Novel Prize for Libraries.  The prize will be awarded annually to three libraries at the American Library Association's summer conference commencing with this year's event in Anaheim, California.
